This manual contains information and warnings that must be followed to ensure the safe use and maintenance
of this product. Use this product according to the contents of this manual. Otherwise, the protection provided by
this product may be damaged.

Term description.
The term WARNING, used in this manual defines status or procedures which may lead to the serious injuries
or accidents, and the term CAUTION defines the conditions and actions which may lead in damaging the
instruments or devices used in the testing.
MEASUREMENT CATEGORY II is applicable to test and measuring circuits connected directly to utilization
points (socket outlets and similar points) of the low-voltage MAINS installation.
MEASUREMENT CATEGORY III is applicable to test and measuring circuits connected to the distribution
part of the building’s low-voltage MAINS installation.
MEASUREMENT CATEGORY IV is applicable to test and measuring circuits connected at the source of the
building’s low-voltage MAINS installation.
