Compatible Fibre Units: 2f and 4f Emtelle Fibre Unit
Compatible Microduct: 3.5mm ID
Length: 25mm nominal

4f Fibre Grip Connector 8-3mm Product Code: 70184

Compatible Microduct: 5/3.5mm (use product code 70183)
8/3.5mm (use product code 70184)
In common with all Emtelle Fibre Restraint methods, the fibre unit sheath (yellow

grip directly onto the acrylate fibre bundle. Failure to do this will be detrimental
in terms of water blocking and restraining force.
Practical exercise - Lock & Block Procedure
You will be guided through the sequence of FU securing by the L&B method:
Select all the L&B points in the vicinity. (eg next to a fibre tray)
Fit a L&B stem into each connector at that location
Install FU through stem and connector
Inject the 2-part resin down the side-vent so it encloses the FU completely.
Ensure no movement while the resin sets
Note it is economical to set up all L&B in the vicinity so as to inject resin into them all at the same
time. This saves resin.
Each resin-filled location now provides:
Non-movement of the FU at this connector
A fully sealed m/d (ie waterblock equivalent)
