Orientation
An optimum orientation position helps avoid gas and air accumulations and deposits in the
measuring tube.
Vertical orientation
Vertical orientation is optimal in the following scenarios:
For self-emptying piping systems.
For sludge containing sand or stones where the solids tend to settle at the bottom.

Horizontal orientation
The measuring electrode plane should be horizontal in the case of horizontal orientation. This
prevents brief insulation of the two measuring electrodes by entrained air bubbles.
