Open the inner cover, and set the
transportation lock in the transportation
position, as shown in the illustration.
Putting the transportation lock in the
transportation position, prevents the ink from
leaking when the printer is stood on end in step
8.

Close the inner cover, return the interior of the
printer to its original position.

Stand the printer vertically as shown in the
illustration (with the front side of the printer
face down).

Important:
Be careful to not pinch your hands or fingers
when standing the printer on end. An injury
could occur.

As shown in the illustration, raise the roller
lock lever, on the left side of the Roller
Assembly Kit, toward you.
Raising the roller lock lever drops the Roller
Assembly Kit towards you.

Remove the Roller Assembly Kit.

Important:
Do not touch the roller surfaces of the Roller
Assembly Kit. Oil from your skin could stick
to them and make printed materials dirty.
