Check the “cpPowerProblemTrap” alarm appears on the alarm browser.

Circuit Breakers at the top of the EDA 2530
cabinet. This will reconnect power to Socket Vb1 on the Power Supply
Connection Unit in slot 22.
Check the Green Vb1 PWR LED is lit on the Power Supply Connection Unit
in slot 22.
Check the “cpPowerProblemTrap” alarm clears on the alarm browser.
c. Switch OFF the 3
rd
and 4
th
Circuit Breakers at the top of the EDA 2530
cabinet. This will disconnect the power supply from Socket Vb2 on the
Power Supply Connection Unit in slot 22.
Check the Green Vb2 PWR LED is extinguished on the Power Supply
Connection Unit in slot 22.
Check the “cpPowerProblemTrap” alarm appears on the alarm browser.
d. Switch ON the 3
rd
and 4
th
Circuit Breakers at the top of the EDA 2530
cabinet. This will reconnect power to Socket Vb2 on the Power Supply
Connection Unit in slot 22.
Check the Green Vb2 PWR LED is lit on the Power Supply Connection Unit
in slot 22.
Check the “cpPowerProblemTrap” alarm clears on the alarm browser.
8.2.3 FAN Unit Extraction/Insertion
WARNING: This test should be completed quickly, as the equipment should only
operate without a fan unit for less than 5 minutes.
a. Extract the fan tray unit present in the subrack central part and check that:-
To remove the fans assembly unscrew the two fixing screws and pull the
fans assembly.
Check the following alarms appear on the alarm browser:-
“cpHighTemperatureTrap
cpEqtSubrackCoolingFanStatusChangedTrap
cpCoolingFanFailureTrap
b. Reinsert the FAN tray unit.
To replace the fans assembly, position the fans assembly in the subrack so
that the two gudgeon pins located in the subrack fit into their respective
holes in the fans assembly. Push the assembly and then screw in the two
fixing screws.
