7.7.4 Complete VLAN Creation
a. When only a single child is to be subtended from the “Parent” EDA 2530 ie
Child#1 (EDA2510 or EDA2530) from GigE Port 2, then exit back to the
main LCT screen at this point & continue to sub-section 7.8.
b. If one or two child(s) ie Child#2, Child#3 (EDA 2530), are to be subtended
from the “Parent”:-
Then perform the sub-section 7.7.5, to create S-VLANs on the “Parent”
EDA 2530 to subtend a “Child#2” (if applicable).
Then perform the sub-section 7.7.6, to create S-VLANs on the “Parent”
EDA 2530 to subtend a “Child#3” (if applicable).
7.7.5 Create S-VLANs on the “Parent” to Subtend Child#2 (If required)
Note: This sub-section is only to be applied to the “Parent” EDA 2530 that is
subtending a “Child#2” (EDA 2530).
The last screen in the previous sub-section shows the “Parent” EDA 2530 with two
ADSL cards configured in slots 2 & 4, & two POTS cards configured in slots 3 & 5.
Whilst the S-VLANs for Child#1 (EDA 2510) subtended from GigE Port 2 are already
configured for port “ethG//1/1/2” by the template file.
To subtend Child#2 (EDA 2530) from GigE Port 3, the on-site engineer needs to add
the User Port Interface Name “ethG//1/1/3” for the following S-VLAN entries in the
table:-

VOIP_GW1
VOIP_GW2
VOIP_GW3
VOIP_GW4
VOIP_GW5
VOIP_GW6
VOIP_GW7
VOIP_GW8
VOIP_GW9
VOIP_GW10
7.7.5.1 Create “DATA_INBAND” S-VLAN
a. Against the DATA_INBAND S-VLAN Name, double left-click on the
ethG//1/1/2” entry under the “User Port Interface Name” column.
b. In the “VLAN Egress Ports…….” window select “Read NE”.
c. Highlight the “ethG//1/1/3” entry
