5.5 Reset The Backplane EPROM
Before performing any configuration on a new EDA2530 it is important to clear the
backplane EPROM. This ensures the shelf and the CP card have the same
backplane parameters.
a. On the laptop start the Internet Browser.
b. Ensure the proxy server settings are disabled, as follows:-
From the browser top line menu select Tools > Connections tab > LAN
settings, from the LAN settings window ensure that all options are not
selected.
c. Select “OK” to save the settings, then “OK” in the Connections window to
return to the browser.
d. In the browser address field enter the default EDA 2530 IP address,
150.150.150.4 <RETURN>.
e. The “EDA-2500 Element Manager” screen will be displayed. Enter the
following login details:-
Username: “commissioning”
Password: “commissioning”
f. Select “Login”, then the HTTP shelf view will be displayed.
