7.3 Configure EDA 2530 Tag Protocol ID/Bridging Parameters
Prior to configuring any services the EDA 2530 TPID should be configured, as
follows:-
a. From the top line menu select the path Configuration > IP/Ethernet
Management > Bridging Parameters.
b. From the” Equipment Level Bridging Parameters Configuration” window,
change the “Bridge Ethertype S (hex-str)” field from 88A8 to 8100.
c. Select the “Apply” button then the “Refresh” option.
Note: When TPID=8100 all VLAN tags (S+C) contained within received
traffic are ‘read’ and used to switch traffic. When TPID=88A8 only the outer
VLAN (S) tag is ‘read’ and used to switch traffic.
d. Select “Cancel” to return back to the main LCT screen.
