Change the “SFP Medium Type” to Dual Fibre.
Set the “SFP Laser Wave Length (nm)” to 1310 for example. (Verify the
setting against the SID document for CP Port 1 SFP1 module.)
Leave “SFP connected to Y-Coupler” set to false (default).
f. Select the “Apply” button in the top right-hand corner to modify the
configuration.
g. Select “Refresh”, then “Close” to return to the “CP-IP SFP/Port Provisioning”
screen.
h. If the SFP2, SFP3, SFP4 module(s) have not configured correctly then repeat
the above steps c. to g. for CP Ports “1/1/2/2”, “1/1/2/3”, & “1/1/2/4” (as
appropriate). The settings are to be the same as Port “1/1/2/1” except for
setting the wave length to 850nm.
i. Select “Refresh” on the “CP-IP SFP/Port Provisioning” screen.
j. Check on the table that the parameters are correct with the type of SFP
installed, check that the SFP(s) are alarm free, ie the Alarm Status is ‘not
alarmed’.
k. Select “Close” to return to the main LCT window.
