e. In the “Mask Length” field, enter the subnet mask in number of bits for the
IBM IP address being used (e.g. 30 or 31). This will be provided in the
CWA “GigE Metronode DLE planning” document.
f. Click on the “Local In-Band Mng” checkbox, to specify this IP configuration
as the IBM IP configuration
g. In the “MTU Size (bytes)” field, enter 1500. The number of bytes for the
largest size of packet that can be transmitted, or received on the IP
interface.)
h. In the “Neighbor Address” field, enter 0.0.0.0
i. Now click on the “Create” button.
The IBM IP address will have been created, and the IP Interface
Configuration window will now look as follows:-
j. Close down all windows to return to the main LCT screen.
