After the machine is completely finished with all updates and configuration, then the main
vending screen appears showing prices and vend amounts. At this point, you can continue with
the next step.
Check Water Pressures - Use the analog pressure gauge on the water filter manifold, to read
the actual incoming water pressure. Make sure that the pressure is within the machine's
operating tolerances. You can then use Maintenance Mode or Akoona.net to determine the
pressure drop across the filters. Make sure that the pressure drop is within the machine’s
operating tolerances.
Clean and Sanitize the Machine - The ice barrel must be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after
shipping, before it is filled with ice.
Check GSM Signal Strength - The GSM signal strength should be a minimum of 15, or the
machine might have trouble maintaining a reliable connection. If the GSM signal strength is less
than 15 then you should consider upgrading the factory standard GSM antenna to a stronger
directional antenna which can be sourced from a local cellular accessory supplier.
Fill Coin Tubes - You must fill all the tubes in the coin manger with at least twenty (20) coins in
each coin slot of the proper coin denomination. $1.00 coins do not need to be filled for
functionality.
Close and Lock Doors - Close the backlit panel door (right front door) and lock it by pulling down
the locking handle located on the inside wall of the left side of the door. Then close the payment
door (left front door) and lock it using the t-locks on the outside of the door.
Verify Machine Settings - Operational Settings will be set to standard settings unless the
customer notifies the manufacturer of desired changes. To change the operational settings, go
to Akoona.net and establish all of the vending settings for the machine on the vending tab or
use maintenance mode cable supplied with the machine and connect to PCB board to update
settings.
Note: While the machine is designed to simplify the installation and commissioning process,
variances in machine environment (which include but are not limited to, water quality, air
quality, ambient temperature, foundation, electrical variances) make each and every machine
installation a unique installation. Additional calibrations may need to be performed to the
machine to achieve optimal machine performance. Machine calibrations may take as long as
45 days from the initial commissioning of the machine.
