Divert the flush/washdown hose into the sump, lower drip tray or outside the machine
because water must be run at full pressure through the system for a minimum of five
minutes. There will be a lot of water to drain.
Turn on the water supply from the utility service, open all exterior in-line valves, and then
open the main water manifold valve.
Open the flush valve on the manifold and let it run at full pressure for a minimum of five
minutes.
Close the flush valve.
Warning: It is very important to flush new filter cartridges for a full five minutes every time
new sub-micron filter cartridges are installed, if they are not flushed for five minutes
immediately the first time water is run through a new cartridge, then the cartridge will be
permanently damaged and will not perform up to specifications for the life of the cartridge.
Changing the Pre-Filter
The 10-micron pre-filter cartridge must be changed when either of the following are true,
whichever happens first:
When a cross-sectional visual analysis of either end of the pre-filter cartridge shows
discoloration of the natural white filter color all the way to the ID of the filter. The
discoloration will always begin at the OD and progress towards the ID as the filter is
depleted.
When the pressure drop across the pre-filter stage exceeds the specified limit meaning
that it is clogged.
Procure one new 10-micron pre filter cartridge and then prepare to change the filters. Always
use genuine Everpure filter cartridges with the machine. Everpure supplies are available from
Everest or can be sourced locally. See specifications section of this manual for manufacturer’s
reference model numbers.
Shut off main manifold inlet valve.
Open flush valve to release system pressure.
Using the supplied filter wrench, loosen the clear pre-filter housing ¼ turn anti-clockwise.
Using your hand (no filter wrench), carefully unscrew the clear pre-filter housing until it
detaches from the manifold. DO NOT DROP IT.
Remove the 10-micron pre-filter cartridge, dump the water, and replace with the new 10
micron pre-filter cartridge.
Carefully locate the ID of the new 10 micron filter cartridge over the molded plastic OD in
the bottom of the clear housing and make sure it drops down fully into the housing
