2.4. CONTROLLING THE ROUTER USING THE EXTERNAL SERIAL PROTOCOL
The XRF1 router can be controlled from third party M&C systems over the RS232/422 control port, or by
SNMP control over Ethernet. The serial port pinouts are shown in Table 2-1 and Table 2-2 above, and the
protocol supported by the serial port is available by contacting Evertz sales or service departments.
To interface with the XRF1 router via SNMP, contact Evertz technical assistance for the required SNMP
MIB (management information database) information.
