Pump coming in contact with water
Precautions
The
SO
CONNECT PID
pump is not sealed. Use the case supplied with your pump to protect it from accidental splashing with
water.
Avoid all contact with water. Remember to disconnect and remove it before you have a bath or a shower, enter a Jacuzzi or go
swimming.
Avoid excess humidity (e.g. sauna), which could damage the
SO
CONNECT PID
pump.
If your SO
CONNECT PID pump comes in contact with water, please follow the instructions below:
Pause the infusion, disconnect the SO
CONNECT PID pump and inspect it.
Wipe the outside of the pump with a soft, dry cloth and check to see if any water has entered the battery compartment or the
compartment of the SO
FILL syringe. If the battery or SO
FILL syringe compartment is wet, turn the SO
CONNECT PID pump
over to let the water drain out, and leave it to dry.
Do not use hot air to dry the SO
CONNECT PID pump. For example, do not use a hair dryer. That could damage the pump housing.
Do not put back the battery or the SO
FILL syringe before the compartments are fully dry.
It is crucial to verify the pump immediately if it comes in contact with other liquids or chemicals, such as:
cleaners,
alcohol,
beverages,
oil or grease.
Clean your pump immediately if it has come into contact with such materials.
Precautions
Avoid putting the
SO
CONNECT PID
pump in contact with medicines or hygiene products (e.g. antiseptic, antibiotic cream, soap,
scent, deodorant, body lotion or any other cosmetics). Such substances could discolour the
SO
CONNECT PID
pump or damage
the screen.
