50 ml infusion at a flow rate of 20 ml / h
50 ml infusion at a flow rate of 5 ml / h
Pump precision
The graphs and curves below have been calculated from the pump precision verification procedures described in standard IEC 60601-2-24.
The tests were conducted in normal ambient temperature conditions (25°C) using a SO
CONNECT PID pump, a 20 ml SO
FILL syringe and
an infusion set (part: Neria™ from Unomedical).
The normal conditions for optimum precision are:
no counter-pressure due to the size of the catheter or a height difference between the pump and the infusion site,
ambient temperature (25°C),
atmospheric pressure at sea level,
medication with liquids with characteristics similar to water.
In the SO
CONNECT PID pump, external factors can lead to fluctuations in the precision of the infusion rate. These factors are particularly:
liquids with characteristics different from those of water, namely density, viscosity and homogeneity,
ambient temperature above or below 25°C,
atmospheric pressure above or below 101 kPA.
