(1) Battery life has been verified in the laboratory under the following operating conditions:
▪ 50 ml infusion at a flow rate of 20 ml / h
▪ 50 ml infusion at a flow rate of 5 ml / h
Pump precision
The graphs and curves below have been calculated from the pump precision verification procedures described in standard IEC 60601-2-24.
The tests were conducted in normal ambient temperature conditions (25°C) using a SO
♥
CONNECT PID pump, a 20 ml SO
♥
FILL syringe and
an infusion set (part: Neria™ from Unomedical).
The normal conditions for optimum precision are:
▪ no counter-pressure due to the size of the catheter or a height difference between the pump and the infusion site,
▪ ambient temperature (25°C),
▪ atmospheric pressure at sea level,
▪ medication with liquids with characteristics similar to water.
In the SO
♥
CONNECT PID pump, external factors can lead to fluctuations in the precision of the infusion rate. These factors are particularly:
▪ liquids with characteristics different from those of water, namely density, viscosity and homogeneity,
▪ ambient temperature above or below 25°C,
▪ atmospheric pressure above or below 101 kPA.
