13. On the PC, remove the System Software DVD.
14. Do the following to return the E100 to normal mode:
• On the E100, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
The E100 powers off.
• On the E100, set the service switches to normal mode (move the service switches down to
the OFF position).

switches.” on page 27.
• On the E100, disconnect the crossover cable.
•Reconnect all cables to the E100.
– Connect the copier interface cable from the E100 to the copier.
– Connect the network switch (Ethernet) cable from the E100 to the network.
– Connect the copier (Ethernet) cable from the E100 to the copier.
– Connect the power cable from the E100 to a power outlet.

• On the E100, with the power switch is in the OFF (|) position, press the power button
once.
The E100 powers on. Wait for
00 to display on the LED display.
15. If you reinstalled system software (same version), do the following:
• Restore the system configuration.
For more information, see “Restoring the system configuration” on page 68.
• Reinstall previously installed software patches.
For more information, see “Installing software patches” on page 69.
• Ask the network administrator to reinstall customer-installed fonts and FreeForm masters
archived earlier.
16. Reconnect all dongles and devices that you removed earlier.
