6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning and Storage
Clean the meter with a damp cloth and mild detergent; do not use abrasives or solvents.
If the meter is not to be used for an extended period, remove the batteries and store
them separately.
6.2 Battery Replacement
1. To avoid electrical shock, disconnect the meter if connected to a circuit, remove
the probe leads from the terminals, and set the function switch to the OFF
position before attempting to replace the batteries.
2. Unlock and remove the battery compartment cover.
3. Replace the four (4) standard AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.
4. Secure the battery compartment cover.
6.2.1 Disposal of Electronic Waste
As with most electronic products, this equipment must be disposed of in an
environmentally friendly way, and in accordance with existing regulations for electronic
waste.
