6. Maintenance

6.1CleaningandStorage

Cleanthemeterwithadampclothandmilddetergent;donotuseabrasivesorsolvents.
Ifthemeterisnottobeusedforanextendedperiod,removethebatteriesandstorethem
separately.
6.2BatteryReplacement
1. Toavoidelectricalshock,disconnectthemeterifconnectedtoacircuit,removethe
probe/thermocoupleleadsfromtheterminals,andsetthefunctionswitchtotheOFF
positionbeforeattemptingtoreplacethebatteries.
2.
Unscrewandremovethebatterycompartmentcover.
3.
ReplacethesixstandardAAAbatteries,observingcorrectpolarity.
4.
Securethebatterycompartmentcover.

6.2.1DisposalofElectronicWaste
Aswithmostelectronicproducts,thisequipmentmustbedisposedofinanenvironmentally
friendlyway,andinaccordancewithexistingregulationsforelectronicwaste.
