Delta connection or floating systems
For delta systems, the procedure is more complex. Use the following
procedure to calculate the Power Factor for a 3-phase grounded delta
connected motor or for floating sources.
1 Open the main menu.

Make connections to phase 1 and 3 as shown below. Run the motor
under normal full load (power factor decreases at less than full load).
Write down the true power reading (kW

) from phase 1 to 3.
Write down the apparent power reading (kVA).
