17. Lightingsystem
Your FLYER E-bike’s lighting system is usually
powered by the battery. The lighting function is
ensuredforamaximumofonehourafterthebat-
tery is empty.
The headlight must be aligned to illu
minate the
road according to the legal regulations of your
country.
If necessary, have the lighting system
checked and changed by your specialist
retailer when you discover faults in its
function.
Some models are equipped with daytime driv
-
ing lights. These are supplied by various energy
sources depending on the riding situation.

or washing up liquid is suitable
here.
The lighting system is key and it is vital
that it is proper working condition. Only
allow authorised FLYER specialist retail-
ers to perform checks and servicing work
after failures or temporary problems.
18. Ridingwith
additional load
Luggagecarrier/ridingwithluggage
Transporting baggage changes the riding per-
formance of your FLYER E-bike. Not only is the
braking distance lengthened with more weight,
the
steering is also less responsive. You should
therefore adjust your riding style to the braking
and steering behaviour of your FLYER, and al
-
ways anticipate a longer braking distance. Only
transport luggage on the approved luggage racks
and
ensure thatthe maximum permitted overall

rack to the seat post, as the latter is not designed
for this purpose. This could result in part failure
and serious falls. The manufacturer’s warranty

Make sure that your luggage is rmly
and safely attached when transporting
packing bags or other loads. Ensure that
no parts can get hooked in the spokes or
the turning wheels.
