IMPORTANT! Before starting the auto-transformer for the first time, read the chapters
headed „Safety rules“ and „Putting the welding machine into service“ in the power source
instruction manual.
The ventilation of the auto-transformer is a very important safety feature. When deciding
where to set up the system, ensure that cooling air can enter unhindered through the air
slots on the underside and escape through the slots in the sides.
Fit suitable mains plug to the auto-transformer mains cable
Switch the power source mains switch to the „O“ position
Switch mains switch (B) on auto-transformer to the „O“ position
Plug power source mains cable into auto-transformer socket (A)
Connect auto-transformer mains cable to the local supply
Move the mains switch (B) to the „I“ position
The auto-transformer is ready for use
