5 Gently remove the paper.
6 If the paper is jammed inside the machine,
open the fusing unit cover by pulling the
green lever (A2) upwards.
For more information on how to remove the fusing
unit, refer to "Replacing Fusing Unit" (P.66)
7 If the paper is jammed inside the fusing unit,
gradually remove the paper while pressing
the green lever (A2),
Important • Do not touch the heated part of the fusing unit when you remove the paper jammed inside
the fusing unit.
Note • If the paper is torn, make sure no piece of paper remains inside the machine.
8 Close the cover A by firmly pressing at the center.
9 Close Tray 5.
Fusing Unit Safety
When removing the Fusing Unit unit,
always switch off first and wait for 40
minutes until it cools off.
Do not attempt to remove a paper
jammed deeply inside the product,
particularly a paper wrapped around a
Fusing Unit or a heat roller. Otherwise,
it may cause injuries or burns. Switch
off the product promptly and contact
your local Fuji Xerox representative.
