Paper Jams in Top Left Cover E
The following describes how to clear paper jams occurring in the top left cover.
Important • Do not touch the black film like the transfer belt inside the top left cover when you remove
the jammed paper because images might be shifted on the transfer belt. If you touch the
belt, the image quality might be deteriorated or the belt may be damaged and need
replacement.
1 Open Tray 5.
îš„When Side Tray (Optional) being
attached:
Remove the papers stacked on the side tray
and open the cover on the upper-left.
2 Open the cover A (d) by pulling the lever
(
c) upwards.
3 Lift up the lever to open the cover E.
4 Remove the jammed paper.
Note • If the paper is torn, make sure no piece of
paper remains inside the machine.
5 Close the cover E gently.
6 Close the cover A by gradually pressing at
the center. Then, close Tray 5.
