Key c ombin ations", Pag e 24 for informat ion on setting th e v olume
and also enabling/disabling the loudspeakers using key com binations.
If you attach an external microphone, the built-in m icroph one is disabled.
When you connect headp hones or ext ernal speakers, th e built-in spe akers are disabled.

SIM card
A S IM Card (Subscriber Identity Module) is a chip card which is inserted in a mobile telephone or
notebook to enable access to a mobile radio network in conjunction w ith an installed UMTS module.
Follow the instructions supplied by the provider of the SIM card.
The SIM card slot is located in the battery compartment and can only
be accessed when the battery is removed.
Inserting a SIM card
► Prepare for insertio n of the SI M ca rd, see chapter "Preparing to remove compo nents", Page 61.

► Pull the SIM card slider tray from the slot (1).
► Put the SIM card (a) into the SIM card
slider tray, as shown in the illustration
on the slider tray.
► Push the SIM card slider tray back
into the slot (2).
► Complete the insertion process, see chapter "
Finishing component removal", Page 6 6.
