For the drive enclosure, the POWER LED on the power supply unit emits green lights and the fan revolves at
high speed for 30 seconds.

5.2.3 Powering On
Turn on the PC terminal and the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system.
Follow the procedure below to turn on the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system.
•
After turning the power on, it takes approximately two minutes (approximately six minutes in a Unified
configuration) for the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system to become READY (i.e. the READY LED ( )
turns on). If an error is detected in the component during the initial power-on diagnostic phase, a lon-
ger time (up to ten minutes) may be required for the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system to become
READY.
•
After power-off, wait for about one minute before turning power on again.
1 Press the Power switch of the controller enclosure.
