Software updates are released regularly in an effort to improve the usability and functionality
of ScanSnap Manager.
This section explains how to update ScanSnap Manager.
■ Updating on a Windows OS
ScanSnap Manager can check whether the latest update pack is available and update the
software when you select [Help] J [Online Update] from the Right-click menu.
Follow the instructions below when updating ScanSnap Manager.
1. Select [Help] J [Online Update] from the Right-Click Menu.
Refer to Right-Click Menu (page 41) for more information about the Right-Click Menu.
D A confirmation message appears.
2. Click the [Yes] button.
D If the latest update pack is available, a message confirming the download and
installation of the software appears.
z You can also perform the update by selecting [Start] menu J [All programs] J [ScanSnap
Manager] J [Online Update].
z Update Packs are made available without notice. We recommend that you update your
program regularly.
z It is necessary to have Internet Explorer installed in a computer system with Internet access.
z Always log on as a user with Administrator privileges.
