Chapter 3 Information About Software 21
RTIF1-
120329-001
OOOAfter regenerating XSCF host public
key with setssh -c genhostkey,
other connected XSCF users may
encounter a “permission denied
error when executing the XSCF
command line.
XSCF reboot is required after
generating the XSCF host key.
RTIF1-
120329-003
O O The fault information that is held in
the domain, and that can be checked
with the Oracle Solaris OS fmadm
faulty command is sent to the XSCF
every time the domain is restarted or
the XSCF is reset. On the other hand,
the XSCF holds a history of the fault
information it has received in the past
from the domain, and exercises
control to ensure that the same failure
is not registered in the error log.
However, replacing the XSCF unit on
the M4000/M5000 server or replacing
the motherboard unit (MBU) on the
M3000 server restores the failure
history information held by the XSCF
to its initial values. As a result,
failures resolved in the past may be
registered again as new failures in the
error log.
If a new failure occurs after replacing
the XSCF unit or MBU, check the
failure occurrence time and UUID in
the fmdump -V output to judge
whether the failure has been resolved
in the past or is a new failure.
Also, if any fault information on
failures already resolved remains in
the domain, execute the Oracle Solaris
OS fmadm repair command during
maintenance to reset the fault
information.
