Connecting external devices
Under all circumstances, please observe the s afety notes provided in the
"
Important notes", Pa ge 13 chapter before connecting or disconnecting
any devices to or from your Tablet PC.
Always read the documentation supplied with the device you wish to connect.
Never connect or disconnect cables during a thunderstorm.
Never pull at a cable when disconnecting it. Always grasp the plug.
With some devices, such as USB devices, it is not ne cessary to switch off
the Tablet PC and the device before connecting/disconnecting. For more
information about whether or not devices need to be switched off, please refer
to the documentation supplied with your external device.
Some of the external devices requ ire s pecial drivers (see the operating
system and external device documentation).
Connecting an external monitor
Micro HDMI port
HDMIport
The micro H DMI port on your device can be used to connect an external amplifi er,
LCD TV or a plasma TV with an HDMI connection.
► Connect the data ca ble to the
external device.
► Connect the data ca ble to the
microHDMI port.
Some LCD televisions have only two speakers/speaker ports and therefore
cannot reproduce Dolby Digital or DTS. To play back HDM I sound, you
must change the HDMI sound settings accordingly.
You can find the settings under Control Panel - Hardware and Sound. Deactivate the
settings for DTS Audio and Dolby Digital to enable playback of HDMI s ound.
