Monitoring
The Service and the RS232 interfaces of the KVM switch can be operated in the mon-
itoring mode. In this mode, monitoring information about the configured interfaces
are issued with each switching process.
By request, the KVM switch additionally issues extended monitoring information
(see page 16 f.).
Monitoring information
With each switching process monitoring information are sent to the interfaces oper-
ated in monitoring mode.
The string issued by the KVM switch has the following meaning:
Issuing extended monitoring information
Request extended monitoring information from the KVM switch by sending the
character »
q«.
IMPORTANT:
In the default settings of the KVM switch, the Service port is operated
in the operating mode
Setup Menu (see page 36). The RS232 port is operated in the
operating mode Switch (see page 38).
How to change the operating mode of the ports is described on the pages stated
above.
