5.3 Perform flow kit installation test
I
ntroduction
The flow kit must be tested to verify that sensors and meters are correctly installed
before use. A flow kit installation test method is available for this purpose. A success-
ful test provides an installation report that can be saved as a pdf or printed.
This section describes the procedure of how to test that the flow kit is correctly in-
stalled using UNICORN.
If UNICORN is used as the control software, the installation test method and the in-
stallation test report is found on a CD provided in the delivery.
If other control software is used, refer to the product documentation for an equiva-
lent procedure.
The procedure is performed in the following consecutive steps:
1. Prepare for flow kit installation test
2. Perform the installation test using a dry flow kit.
3. Save and/or print the report
Note: It is important that the installation test is made on a dry flow kit.
Note: Priming is performed after the installation test.
Note: For testing of ancillary filters, mixing tanks and bags refer to the relevant
u
ser documentation for information.
Overview
The installation test method runs for approximately 6 min. The sensors and meters
are tested to determine if they are correctly installed. The test contains a number of
questions and test steps. The test is performed without liquid and must be per-
formed on a dry and new flow kit.
When the control software is UNICORN, the steps and the pass/fail results are dis-
played on the UNICORN System Control module screen. The UNICORN Run Log can
be used for troubleshooting.
Note: In the installation test method, the air sensors and the air trap level sensors
a
re calibrated when the flow kit and air trap are filled with air. Perform the
calibration of these sensors when the flow kit and air trap are filled with liq-
uid.
