Addresses and sections
IP-Addresses
Each device within an ethernet network has a unique IP address.
Device addresses
Device addresses are assigned consecutively
- A control unit always has the device address 01.
- If there are several control units, a network area (section) is assigned to each
control unit for differentiation.
Device addresses within a section are unique
Sections (network areas)
The receivers are assigned to a control unit based on sections.
Presetting: Section = 0
The value "0" means that each control unit can manage the receiver.
It should be noted that even with only one control unit, the section must be set!
Correct section setting prevents address conflicts.
When control units or Velos components are added later, for example.
