Addresses and sections
IP-Addresses
Each device within an ethernet network has a unique IP address.
Device addresses
● Device addresses are assigned consecutively
- A control unit always has the device address 01.
- If there are several control units, a network area (section) is assigned to each
control unit for differentiation.
● Device addresses within a section are unique
Sections (network areas)
The receivers are assigned to a control unit based on sections.
● Presetting: Section = 0
The value "0" means that each control unit can manage the receiver.
● It should be noted that even with only one control unit, the section must be set!
● Correct section setting prevents address conflicts.
