6.5.2 Installing a control unit in the DPNet network
Requirements
● The herd management program and DPNet network are installed in accordance
with the following instructions:
- 7160-90 . . -539
- 7300-90 . . .-008
● The control unit and the herd management PC must be installed in the same
network.
● Required firmware version (or higher)
See Chapter: Maintenance / Update firmware
Expanding the farm (creating a connected system)
The control unit/new system must be added to the farm.

The following instruction uses the example: animal segregation set-up in
DPService
1. Start DPService.
Create a connected system
1. Follow the path indicated
-DPService: General Information-> Configuration
2. Select the farm
3. Enter number of control units used in
animal segregation(999/910/002)
- Control unit is displayed
4. Select control unit (EtselVPU)
