Hazard warnings and safety symbols
Information in this manual that may affect the safety of users and others is preceded by this
warning symbol.
Caution - Failure to follow the correct information may result in physical injury which in some cases
could be fatal. If the equipment is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the
protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.
General product label symbols are listed as follows:
CE conformity-The CE-marking is the
manufacturer's statement to the EU
authorities that the product complies
with all relevant CE-marking directives.
If the CSA mark appears with the
indicator "US" or "NRTL" it means that
the product is certified for the U.S.
market, to the applicable U.S. standards.
VDE mark is a symbol for electrical,
mechanical, thermal, toxic,
radiological and other hazards.
Separate collection, handling and
disposal for waste electrical and
electronic equipment and its
components.
Refer to operators manual.
Double insulated construction - does
not require an Earth.
Specific marking of explosion protection
(ATEX only).
Equipment group and category. G =
gases; the type of explosive
atmosphere.
IECEx licenced mark
(IECEx only).
Equipment for indoor use only.
