13 Repair
Repairs under warranty are carried out by the manufacturer. Repairs outside the warranty
period should only be carried out by skilled technical personnel. Failure to observe the as-
semblyandsettingproceduresandoperationbynon-skilledpersonnelmayresultinserious
damage to the blind rivet setting tool. In case of doubt, always send the blind rivet setting tool
back to the supplier or to GESIPA

14. Troubleshooting
14.1 Blind rivet is not set
Cause Corrective measures
Jaws (No. 5) dirty Clean and oil sliding surfaces (Point 8.1)
Jaws (No. 5) worn Replace (Point 8.2)
Insufcientworkingpressure See working pressure (Point 4)
Tool stroke too low Top up with hydraulic oil (Point 8.3)
14.2 Spent mandrel is not evacuated
Cause Corrective measures
Spent mandrel container (No. 36) full Empty (Point 7.5)
Wrong nosepiece (No. 1) used Replace according to table (Point 6)
Nosepiece (No. 1) worn Replace
Spent mandrel jammed in jaws (No. 5)
Clean jaws (No. 5) and jaw housing (No. 4) and
oil sliding surfaces; replace if worn (Point 8.2)
