NOTE:
You can hot swap one battery pack while the other one is supplying the
power. The appropriate temperature range for hot swapping the battery
pack is between -21°C (-5.8 °F) and 45 °C (113 °F).
Removing both battery packs (which is discouraged in normal circumstances)
will cause the RTC (real-time clock) to reset to the factory default settings.
The date and time values will be correct when the device next connects to
the network; or you can also manually set the values.
If you have the high-capacity battery model, the battery pack looks different
from the one shown here. The removal/installation method is the same.
To replace the battery pack, follow these steps:
1. Skip this step if you are hot swapping the battery pack.
Turn off the device and disconnect the AC adapter. After turning off the
device, allow a cool-down time of at least 5 minutes before removing
the battery pack.
2. Locate the battery pack you want to remove. Slide the battery latch
toward the right (
) and then upwards (
) to release the battery pack.
3. Remove the battery pack from its compartment.
