SAFETY RELAY DIAGNOSTIC CHART

Waiting for manual reset:
• EDM (External Device Monitoring) contacts not closed� Check PLC
outputs to safety mat reset relay - check relay & connections
• Check jumper at S32 - S33
No fault indicated

Ch 2 LED OFF
Safety mat appears actuated:
• Check mat for damage or heavy debris
• Check for proper wiring & loose connections
• Check for a short in the wiring

Channel 1 open:
• Check wiring to S11 - S12
• Check connectors are properly seated

• Possible internal fault - replace

• Check input power connections or external fuses
• Check connectors are properly seated

Power LED dim:
• Check power supply capacity and load
Other LEDs dim:
• May glow during power-up (normal)
• Check power supply capacity and load
Fault Fault LED Flickers This is normal while the Fault LED is ON
VFD does not allow
operation of belts

Check VFD for faults or an open circuit between VFD and safety relay
• Check continuity of safety outputs (Ie: between terminals 13 & 14)
