Equipotential bonding
Exclusively for the models – BioCompact II 210, 310, 410, 210/210, 310/210
For installation in ATEX Cat. 3 Zone 2 areas, it is mandatory to have a equipotential bonding, it is not sucient to use
protective earth through the mains connection.
To secure equipotential bonding of the unit – the mounted external bonding conductor must be used in accordance
with national installation requirements e.g. EN 60079-14.
Mounting of the bonding conductor should be done according to the following illustrations.
Please nd location for connection facilities on the back of the cabinet marked with:
“Attention – Equipotential bonding”.
The bonding conductor should be at least 4 mm
2
guage.
Use a ring terminal to ensure a dequate bonding.
Use the supplied M5 machine screw and washer to attach the bonding conductor to the cabinet.
Tighten the machine screw to 3.2 Nm.
Bonding of the cabinet is illustrated on the next page and the following.

Please note, this location is the only
manufacturerer-approved location for
Equipotential bonding.
