6.2.14 How to Replace the Vacuum Fan
How to detach the vacuum fan
(1) Detach the right and left side covers (see Subsection 6.1.1 and Subsection 6.1.2).
(2) Detach the front guide (see Subsection 6.1.5 or 6.1.6).
(3) Detach the rear guide (see Subsection 6.1.7).
M3L35 binding head screw
Access the screw from this hole.
(4) Removetheharnesstie-wrapholdingthevacuumfancables.
(5) Disconnect the vacuum fan from its connector.
CE5000-40andCE5000-60:connectorJ9onthemainboard.
CE5000-120/120AP:connectorJ1202orJ1203onthefanrelayboard.
(6) Use a long screwdriver to remove the two M3L35 binding head screws holding the vacuum fan from the
holes of the bottom chassis.
(7) Detach the vacuum fan from the main unit.
How to reinstall the vacuum fan
(1) Reattach in the reverse order in which it was detached.
