OVERVIEW

Constant Voltage/Constant Current
Crossover Characteristics
Background
The unit will switch automatically between
constant voltage and constant current
according to changes in the load.
CV mode
When the load current is less than the current
setting, the unit operates in constant voltage
mode, changing the current level according to
the load but maintaining the set voltage level
until the current reaches the set current level.
The status indicator will show CV on the LCD
when in CV mode.
Constant Current
Mode
When the output current reaches the set
current level, the unit switches operation to
constant current mode. The status indicator
will show CC on the LCD display. In CC mode,
the current level is maintained and the voltage
level is limited to less than the set voltage level
to limit the output power from an overload.
When the current drops below the set current
level, the unit will revert back to CV mode.
