Cell Saving using Manual Operation
Selecting manual operation
Prior to processing any blood, the disposable set must be installed as
explained in Chapter Four. Once the CS5+ device has been powered on and
the system self-test has been successfully completed, the initial STANDBY
state message will appear.

To switch to manual operation at this point, the operator can:
" Press the Mode key once.
The following screen display will appear.

Modifying preset processing parameters
The CS5+ system preset processing parameters are programmed with the
same default settings in the MANUAL mode as in the AUTOMATIC mode.
As during automatic operation, it is possible to access and adjust certain
settings during manual operation, available on the MANUAL mode setup
screen display such as pump speed (FILL/WASH/EMPTY rates).
