General digital capture unit care
Time & Date settings on the digital capture unit (which are included with les and batch labels)
are updated automatically through a FireWire/Phocus connection. These settings are retained
for about two consecutive weeks by a small rechargeable cell that is automatically recharged
by the main battery or Firewire with regular use. If problems occur, charge the cell by leaving the
digital capture unit turned ON for around 12 hours.
Do not touch the exposed CCD/ lter with your ngers..
Always replace the protective CCD/ lter cover when the digital capture unit is not mounted on
a camera.
Never attempt to remove the glass lter from the front of the CCD—you will probably ruin the
CCD if you do so. If dust manages to get between the IR lter and CCD, it can only be removed at
the Hasselblad factory. Contact your Hasselblad dealer for assistance.
Store the digital capture unit away from moisture and excessive heat.
When cleaning the lter, take at least as much care as you would with any optic. See later sec-
tion in this manual for cleaning instructions.
