10.2 Undercut parameters
DIN 76 – undercut parameters
The control determines the parameters for the thread
undercut (Undercut DIN 76) from the thread pitch. The
undercut parameters are in accordance with DIN 13 for
metric threads.

calculates the depth of the
thread undercut according to
the following formula:
Undercut depth = (N + I - K) / 2
Where:
I: Undercut depth
K: Underc. breadth
R: Undercut radius
W: Undercut angle
N: Nominal diameter of the
thread
I: From the table
K: Core diameter of the
thread
