ASSEMBLY AND ANCHORING
6-11MS 3000 9095-032A
4. Fixing the anchors:
- If conditions make it necessary,
use may be made of other
approved attachment materials
which are suitable for the forces
present. (Consult your dealer).
- Cemented-in anchors must be
allowed to become fully secure
(the cement must have time to
harden) before the mast climbing
work platform is assembled. The
cement or concrete used must be
in accord with the specifications.
- If chemical anchors or expansion
bolts are used, these must be
approved and must be able to
withstand the forces involved.
- Specifications for these types of
bolts are available from the
supplier. Permission to use them
must be obtained from the local
authorities.
5. Securing an anchor:
- Attach the coupling to the mast
(1). Do not tighten it fully yet.
- Attach the wall plate (2) to the
building.
- Secure the horizontal anchor
tubes with stretcher arrangement
(3) between the coupling on the
mast and the wall plate.
- Tighten the bolts securing the
coupling to the mast and all the
remaining bolts on the anchor
with the correct torque loading.
- Adjust the stretchers so that the
mast is vertical and equidistant
from the building.
- Tighten the locking nuts (4) on
the stretcher arrangement.
