comfort and safety.
Inspect your motorcycle every day before you
start the engine. The items listed here will only
take few minutes, and in the long run they can
save time, expense, and possibly your life.
Please follow the tips as given below:
Important Safety Reminders
î Do not install a tube inside a tubeless tyre on
this motorcycle. Excessive heat buildup can
cause the tube to burst.
î Use only tubeless tyres on this motorcycle.
The rims are designed for tubeless tyres, and
during hard acceleration or braking, a tube-
type tyre could slip on the rim and cause the
tyre to rapidly deflate.
PRE-RIDE INSPECTION
You should conduct pre-ride inspection before
Clean your motorcycle regularly. It protects
the surface finish. Avoid cleaning with
products that are not specifically designed for
motorcycle surfaces.
î Engine Oil Level-check and top up engine
oil if required (page 21).Check for leaks.

The recommended tyre for your motorcycle are :
NOTE
For repair and replacement of tyre it is advised
to visit your Authorised Hero MotoCorp
workshop.
î Steering-check for smooth action and for
easy maneuverability.
î Fuel Level-ensure sufficient fuel is
available in the fuel tank for your journey
(page 19). Check for leaks.
î Rear brake (Drum type)-check operation.
Adjust free play if necessary (page 43).
î Tyres-check condition and pressure (page
22 to 25).
î Front Brake-check for correct brake fluid
level in master cylinder (page 42 & 43).
î Drive Chain-check condition and slackness
(page 38 to 41). Lubricate if necessary.
î Air Suction Valve-make sure all tube
connections are secured properly (page 52).
î Side Stand Indicator-make sure that the
side stand is up. If it is in down position the
side stand indicator (page 15) will glow on
the speedometer panel.
î Clutch-check for smooth operation.
Adjust free play (page 37 & 38).
î Fitting & Fasteners-check & tighten if
necessary.
î Lamps and Horn-check that headlamp,
position lamps, tail/stop lamp, turn signal
lamps, indicators and horn function properly.
î Rear View Mirror-ensure that the rear
view mirror gives a good rear view when
you are sitting on the motorcycle.
î Throttle-check for smooth opening and closing
in all steering positions (page 35).
î Rear Brake (Disc type)-check for correct
brake fluid level in the reservoir (page 44)
