Follow these guidelines to protect your
motorcycle’s catalytic converter.

î Always use unleaded petrol. Even a small
amount of leaded petrol can contaminate
the catalyst metals, making the catalytic
converter ineffective.
î Keep the engine tuned up.
î Dry the motorcycle by wiping with dry soft cloth.

frequently with fresh water.

WASHING THE MOTORCYCLE
î Wet the motorcycle with light water spray.

electrical parts.
î After cleaning spray water thoroughly.
î Clean the headlamp lens and other plastic
î Do not put water inside the muffler during
washing. It is advisable to put a cover over
the Exhaust pipe to avoid water entering the
muffler.
î Do not use high pressure water (or air). It can
damage certain parts of the motorcycle.

converter in the silencer (muffler) to meet the

CATALYTIC CONVERTER
Further to meet emission standards this
motorcycle is provided with an air suction
valve.
Air suction valve (1) supplies fresh air from
the air filter to the exhaust manifold to convert
carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide. This
reduces the CO % in the vehicles’s exhaust.
