7.3 Sum and difference measurements
Value acquisition using 2 probes. The measured value will match the algebraic sum of the
values captured through both probes.
Recommended steps for preparing the measurements
Switch the instrument off.
Connect both probes to probe inputs A and B.
Turn the instrument on.
Select A as measuring function.
Set the offset to zero (see chapter 6.2 - Adjusting the offset).
Position the gauge block.
Insert the probe into the measuring device whilst moving it until display shows a value
lying close to the zero value.
Tighten the probe.
Select B as measuring function.
Set the offset to zero (see chapter 6.2 - Adjusting the offset).
Insert the probe into the measuring device whilst moving it until display shows a value
lying close to the zero value.
Tighten the probe
Choose the measuring functions (±A±B).
Set display to the value of the gauge block using both keys
(see chapter 6 - Function keys).
Take the measurements.
