7.3 Sum and difference measurements
Value acquisition using 2 probes. The measured value will match the algebraic sum of the
values captured through both probes.
Recommended steps for preparing the measurements
– Switch the instrument off.
– Connect both probes to probe inputs A and B.
– Turn the instrument on.
– Select A as measuring function.
– Set the offset to zero (see chapter 6.2 - Adjusting the offset).
– Position the gauge block.
– Insert the probe into the measuring device whilst moving it until display shows a value
lying close to the zero value.
– Tighten the probe.
– Select B as measuring function.
– Set the offset to zero (see chapter 6.2 - Adjusting the offset).
– Insert the probe into the measuring device whilst moving it until display shows a value
lying close to the zero value.
– Tighten the probe
– Choose the measuring functions (±A±B).
– Set display to the value of the gauge block using both keys
(see chapter 6 - Function keys).
– Take the measurements.
