9.4 Locking the keypad
All function keys can be disabled as soon as the instrument along with the measuring
device are properly set. This prevents the operator from mistakenly alter this setting, lead-
ing to distorted measurement results. Only the key , the input of the foot switch and
the R-M command remain active for the measurements.
To disable the keypad, turn OFF the instrument once the measuring device is set, position
switch 4 to ON, and then power up the instrument back again. Finally, carry out the meas-
urements. The symbol appears, telling you that the keypad is disabled.
To reactivate the keypad, proceed as before whilst setting the switch 4 back to OFF.

9.5 Auto-calibration ON/OFF
Allows the function to be locked, so that round-off errors can be avoided whilst watching
any temperature drift.
