11. Select the Continuous Low Pressure mode on the control pendant.
Once the patient is back on the mattress, the sensor automatically adjusts and
provides optimal pressure management of the mattress.
Deflating and Packing the Seat Cushion
1. Open the closure located adjacent to the protection of the hose.
2. Locate the blue deflation valve and loosen the
plug (K) by turning through a ½ turn
counterclockwise.
3. Starting on the side opposite the valve, fold the
cushion in order to expel the air.
4. Close the plug and fold the flap over the hose.
5. Store the cushion.
6. The device must be stored in its original packaging:
• protected against light and damp,
• At least 10 cm above floor level to prevent fluid ingress;
• protected against dust;
• outside passageways.
Cleaning and Disinfecting the Seat Cushion
When cleaning, always check the seat cushion cover for cuts, tears, cracks
or snags.
Hill-Rom recommends that damaged cushion covers should be scrapped.
