a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Do one of the following:
Extend the server from the rack.
Remove the server from the rack.
4. Remove the access panel.
5. Install the chassis intrusion detection switch.
6. Install the access panel.
7. Slide the server into the rack.
8. Connect each power cord to the server.
9. Connect each power cord to the power source.
10. Power up the server.

CAUTION:
Always observe the TPM guidelines in this section. Failure to follow these guidelines can cause
hardware damage or halt data access.
If you do not follow procedures for modifying the server and suspending or disabling the TPM in the
OS, an OS that is using TPM might lock all data access. This includes updating system or option
firmware, replacing hardware such as the system board and drives, and modifying TPM OS settings.
Changing the TPM mode after installing an OS might cause problems, including loss of data.
