6. If the second M.2 SSD is installed on the carrier assembly, repeat steps 1 and 2.
7. Slide the carrier inside the boot device cage and push the button. There will be an audible click when the
latch locks into place. Ensure that the latch is fully engaged.
NOTE: For removal of the drive, follow the same procedure.

• Before beginning installation, make sure that the server is updated with the latest operating system
firmware and drivers.
• Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have a T-10 Torx screwdriver available.
